A Comprehensive Vector Dataset of Bus Networks Across China for the Year 2024
Based on the query data from Amap and Baidu Maps APIs in 2024, combined with cross-validation and collation of OSM data, it generates comprehensive vector data of bus networks for 299 cities in China (including 293 prefecture-level cities, 4 municipalities directly under the central government, 2 Special Administrative Regions, with Sansha City data temporarily empty). The data is stored in Shapefile format, including two core types of data: bus stops and bus routes. Bus stop data includes stop names, affiliated route numbers, and first/last stop information; bus route data distinguishes between directed and undirected, and a topological network with nodes (bus stops) and undirected edges (route segments) is also constructed. Compared with OSM data and official statistics, the dataset has better completeness and timeliness, which can be used for bus network pattern analysis, international comparison, and traffic optimization research, providing data support for sustainable urban transportation development.
