Global Data Products for Sustainable Development
Global Sustainable Development Datasets
are developed by the International Research Center of Big Data for Sustainable
Development Goals (SDG Center). Covering SDG priorities including food
security, clean water and sanitation, sustainable cities and communities,
climate action and terrestrial biodiversity, these datasets deliver
user-friendly data to directly support decision-making for global sustainable
development.
The global cropland distribution dataset
addresses longstanding undercounting issues of fallow farmland at a 30-meter
spatial resolution with an overall accuracy of approximately 90%, furnishing
high-precision geospatial underpinnings for global food security governance.
The annual national reservoir water body dynamics dataset establishes a
long-term, high-resolution monitoring archive of China’s reservoirs at over 95%
accuracy. It precisely maps spatiotemporal variations of inland reservoir
waters, supporting water resource administration, flood control & drought
mitigation, hydrological research, as well as quantitative assessments for SDG
6 (Clean Water and Sanitation) and SDG 15 (Life on Land). Integrating satellite
solar-induced chlorophyll fluorescence observations and photosynthesis
modeling, the global terrestrial gross primary productivity (GPP) remote
sensing product captures instantaneous vegetation growth at 0.05° grid
resolution synchronized with satellite overpasses, laying critical scientific groundwork
for accurate global terrestrial carbon sink accounting and climate
policymaking.
All datasets undergo standardized
production and rigorous accuracy validation using open-source raw data, comply
with international data-sharing protocols, and are available free of charge
worldwide.
