Sustainable development data products in Africa (2024)
In the face of social development propositions such as food security, climate change and harmonious coexistence of human beings and nature, the building of a green, inclusive and resilient Africa has become a theme for future development and a vision for the realization of the United Nations 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. Innovative science and technology to promote a green and sustainable development path in Africa is centered on issues such as urban development, energy use, food security, disaster prevention and control, and water resource management.
Adhering to the concept of science, technology and innovation driving sustainable development, the International Center for Big Data on Sustainable Development (CBAS) focuses on the United Nations 2030 Agenda, global environmental change and hot issues, and devotes itself to researching and exploring theoretical mechanisms and technical methods, so as to work together with the international community to promote a stronger, greener and healthier development. Sharing SDGs scientific data products and knowledge experience, and jointly promoting global sustainable development.
CBAS has released the African Sustainable Development Data Product, which quantitatively evaluates the current status and development trend of the African region in terms of sustainable development indicators, and contributes to the development of sustainable development and the implementation of the United Nations 2030 Agenda for the Further Implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals in Africa. It provides scientific data support for Africa's sustainable development and the implementation of the UN 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.
